Bathroom extractor

No idea! Winter / summer electric bills are not too different though. I just use it when showering, so only on 10 minutes a day. The kids never use it. Handy when you get up earlier than the central heating comes on too!

Dimplex wall mounted fan heaters are 2kw so an hour will be 2 kwh say 16p x 2 = 32p

A fan will have an effect in that it will remove x amount of water vapour and air. Nothing beats opening a window after a shower but a good in-line fan (like mine, which extracts up to 280 L/hr) will make a difference. Have a shower without a fan like that on and you'll notice!
280 l/hr sounds a bit low, did you mean cubic metres?

I am actually on the look out for a new extractor fan for my new bathroom.
I want a wall mounted fan (so I can use the old air brick that's high on the wall) that is mains powered (on 5A fuse with shaver socket etc) with a pull cord, rather than light operated.
Any recommendations?
