baxi boiler

hi there,, we have the baxi boiler,Gas CH,theres a water pump or whatever it is-under the living room floor,,which keeps packing in,and my living room gets half wrekt lifting flooring,and furniture every time this happens,,we were told the heating system is obsolete,aparently we are on a list for the combi boiler,but,if its anything to do with the local council i could b a grandad before having the combi,,so,is there any way of speeding this up???
