But if you believe in true democracy then they would be entitled to those seats based on their percentage of votes...
The fact that I totally object to their vile political views is irrelevant since my vote would also count...
Sadly so many of us live in areas where FPTP means that we never get the representation that we would like, and our vote is pointless...
Care to name the last time that a political party in the UK got the majority of the electorate's vote?

But only 37% of the electorate voted in favour...
And even less to remain.
So how come Brexit won the day than
Because the "winner" was so certain that they'd win, they forgot to take out "insurance" to ensure their win
Errrm, because fewer than 37% voted to remain, that's democracy.

It's interesting that the tories brought in a law whereby in a union vote about 'walking out', not voting counts as a vote against the proposal...
Which suggests those who didn't bother to vote weren't bothered with the result.
It's very rash to ascribe your guesses to other people.
But in this instance, quite astute.
