There was once a market for slavery. Doesn't mean it was ok.
Thats scraping the bottom of the sensible argument barrel isnt it?..a lot of people like rap music..I hate it doesnt mean im right either...but a lot of people enjoyed his 'humour'
Without naming people it's hard to say. Who are you talking about?
Watch any 'alternative' comedy show..most just stand there waiting for laughs between gags
Do people still have them, do you have a chip on your shoulder?
They have grown in popularity again but the little bits of meat have bene replaced with chocolate..so they are certainly evolving.
No chip on my shoulder..(hands held up..ive been to and enjoyed a couple of fondu do's myself) but I cannot stand double standards..an ex girlfriends brother hated people smoking near him always citing the fact it 'poluted his personal airspace' but put him within ten foot of a bit of Bob Hope and it was '**** your airspace mate give us a toke on that'...
If you enjoy racist humour then I would think that you must be a racist. I'd be interested if anyone could show otherwise.
With a second cousin who is as black as newgates knocker who I think is an absolute diamond..I dont think so, define a racist and I might be able to give you a straight yes or no..
But someone who uses the 'N' word in front of a black person is ok?
Not trying to put words in my mouth by anychance??...No..I think they are pig ignorant to lay their feeling on other people..I wouldnt use the word either if I was talking to anybody who had no colour issues whatsover..are blacks who use the N word ok then?
Are you are confusing crudity with sexism here? They are not the same.
Thats wasnt my angle no..allthough I can understand why you call that into question
No...my point was the double standards angle..the 'them and us' that seems to exist if BM had made that comment about fisting Norman Lamont he would have been finished..as would Jim Davidson (who I cant stand) or Chubby Brown
But because it was Julian Cleary it was deemed ok and funny.
Warren Mitchell and Johney Speight have gone public hundred of times about Alf Garnet highlighting people ignorance of other races etc...but when they realised they had created a two headed monster did they say to themselves 'do we knock this on the head becasue people are taking it the wrong way'.....or did they settle for the filthy lucre?
