No...my point was the double standards angle..the 'them and us' that seems to exist if BM had made that comment about fisting Norman Lamont he would have been finished..as would Jim Davidson (who I cant stand) or Chubby Brown
But because it was Julian Cleary it was deemed ok and funny.
Warren Mitchell and Johney Speight have gone public hundred of times about Alf Garnet highlighting people ignorance of other races etc...but when they realised they had created a two headed monster did they say to themselves 'do we knock this on the head becasue people are taking it the wrong way'.....or did they settle for the filthy lucre?
