under the regs you are supposed to be treating hard water anyway.
How? By those magnets? One of those little boxes with a wire wrapped around the pipe?

True, but accredited installers are able to address warranty issuesI've been to intergas and wouldn't fit one,too many uncertainties,no in house service/breakdown agreement
Rubbish. City Plumbing can also supply (and are cheaper than Plumbase), Grahams now stock them, and who says independents are untrustworthy? There are some very good ones out there.sales only through plumbbase or other smaller untrustworthy independants
I assume you are referring to the Rhino flue terminal that caused some boilers to shut down if faced into the prevailing wind due to the POC getting into the air intake? This has now been withdrawn and will be replaced under warranty on existing installations if desired.safety concerns over the new flue
No such issue exists provided the installation is done correctlyissue with hot slug
News to me, why is scale more of an issue with an Intergas than with a traditional plate hex, which generally has narrower waterways?issue with scale
How so? As far as I can see everything has been very well designed, yes it's cheap in that there are very few parts, but that is certainly no bad thing.very budget design and manufacturer
Indeed, Vaillant's customer service for example is well known to be shocking, whereas with Intergas there's almost always someone at the end of the phone and emails are responded to very quickly tooStick to the big 3, Vaillant, viessman,Worcester, but be warned you may be no better off wit any of those
13 l/min @35 delta from 32kW HE32 (Atmos - Same basic principle to Intergas)
12.7 l/min @35 delta from 31kW (Ecotec plus 831)
Ive never had an issue getting through to Vaillant, nor Vaillant trained group service engineers(must be lucky).
Work out why scales an issue in a one piece heat ex,it's always been an issue not just with the intergas but all other people that tried it.
Nice read hot water just sat there in a narrow tube.
Anyway, how come their hot water performance figures are dire, when we asked Vince he said they can do more than what we put but don't advertise it......great sales technique considering we're trying to sell things based on printed flow rates etc.
So cheap and cheerfully, crap wilo pump, nasty gas valve, very poorly put together, the only credit is the heat exchanger design and build quality but then we go back to scale and the hot slug.
It's just an opinion but I think they're garbage.

Maybe you should quote intergas's figures next time
Intergas HRE 36-30 13l/min @35Dt......36kw
Vaillant 837 15.2l/min @35DT......37kw
Intergas figure is dire, only just better than a 831 as you've rightly shown.
Horses fir corsas at the end of the day...fit obscure small unsupported products, suffer when they fail....I did.
Only one dissenter against Intergas then. I read that Intergas is a quality, well designed, few component product, yet one poster here says that is not so.
