Hi All,

I have a bathroom which has no windows so is very dark and dingy. I want to upgrade the lighting to make the room brighter, what is the best style light fitting for making the room brighter?

Are the 2d style fittings the best ie:

There are also a lot of light fittings with the 2pin bulbs on the market - how bright are these?

The room is about 3m by 2m at a guess.

Thanks

What lighting has it got at the moment?

My bathroom is about the same size and I've got a light with a 15-20W (can't remember) CFL (one of the replacement type with integral ballast) and it works fine.

I have used the 2Ds and they gave off a good deal of light (16w) Cant say it was a relaxing or subdued light but very functional.

A 21w 2D lamp will be fine - I have the same in my bathroom.

This assumes that the walls / ceiling are white or a light colour.
