2000 pages in this Brexit deal and only a few days to scrutinise it.
Better to wait before passing judgement.
There is no 14 day cooling off period like you get if you are rushed into signing a contract for double glazing.
What you have to understand is that this is part of the slow erosion of democracy (what little there is of it) in the UK.
Allow as little little time for analysis as possible on a deal negotiated by unelected 'advisors' and UKcrats!
It's the same with the emergency legislation.
Reviewed every 6 months with a maximum of 90 minutes allowed for debate.
I say 'debate', but the speaker said at the last 'review' that he was concerned but did nothing about it.
The minutia of our lives is now being ruled/ruined by decree!
But as to the deal, it's of course a worse one than we had.
Take that red herring, fishing.
After the five years transition, 'the UK and EU will regularly negotiate on access to each other's waters'
So that's when UK fishermen will realise that nothing will really change as any agreement follows the money of the rich owners!
A small crumb is on healthcare. EHIC cards will be valid until expiry.
Surely people will have heard of the possibility of this and renewed this year, thus giving cover to end of 2024 and planned accordingly?
After that the government is planning a "UK Global Health Insurance Card".
Which should someone wish to experience the 'luxury' of a holiday, then no doubt that rather than a free system the cost will be probably be more than the average person's yearly EU contribution!
Erasmus has been withdrawn from, no doubt in order to keep more money rolling in to the UK's privatised universities and the UK economy rather than EU funding helping out students.
Thus allowing the experience for a foreign education for UK citizens to become only for the rich.
(Although those from N.I. will still be able to benefit - another 'border' down the Irish sea?)
But hey, the tories have never liked the European 'social model' because it tries to level the playing field!
