Biscuit Debate

It is said the original was made with curd cheese, but the current cheeseless variety is so called as the coconut looks like grated cheese.

@noseall Now, talking about baked goods, tell us all about the wonderful oatcake!

I worked Staffs and East Mids. for a good while and Mrs S's folks lived in ST5 near the factory, so I've had a fair few for lunch!

They aren't half cracking!

Last being, of course, anything made out of loft insulation oats.
Oats are great!

They're a superfood.

Where do I start? They have a high content of fibre, especially beta-glucan, which is soluble.
This slows transit, improving digestion, keeping blood sugar more steady, with fewer spikes and troughs. It also has high content of protein and complex carbs, offering sustained energy.

Beta glucan also lowers bad (LDL) cholesterol. Oats also contain anti-oxidants called Avenanthramides which are anti-inflammatory.

Oats also contain Vitamins B1 and B5 and loads of minerals I can't recall.

Basically, they're good for you, but not the ones buggered about with by producers with added stuff.

The plain oats are best.

Milk chocolate biscuits are sickly. Plain much better.

Lovely, but ludicrously, insanely, expensive. And they did the shrinkflation thing, which I hate. Lidl's own equivalents are just as good. Still pricey though.

McVities plain chocolate digestives - way to go.

Never got with the idea of dunking biscuits with stuff in or on them, and as for dunking chocolate ones, WT* wants their tea to taste of chocolate.

Play rich tea finger chicken is my advice.
Milk Chocolate are morish because they are sickly, plain are just plain!

McVities biscuits give me heartburn, marks and sparks don't have any ill after effects.

Every biscuit is able to be dunked if your of that ilk, I am.

Chocolate Hob Nobs and a cup of coffee is dunking heaven.
