Bizarre outside bottle gully problem

THe inside of the gully has been cleaned to the point you could eat your dinner out of it. The outgoing pipework runs for around 3 metres before it joins the main pipework into the road. Rodding suggests it is clear ???

Please tell me you didn't actually eat your dinner out of a gully! I mean, c'mon man, have some pride yeah?

Unless it’s changed again, water company is responsible for shared drains and certainly their public/road ones.

Mine is not shared, and the blockage if there is one may be on my property or theirs. So unless I can establish where the issue is I could be landed with the cost.

I had a similar issue a few years back. Our water company actually came out and worked on blasting off the scale that had built up on their side of the boundary. We've had no issues since then.
Maybe you could try appealing to their better nature.

You dont need to appeal to their better nature. They are responsible for blockages in a shared service.

May be cheaper to get another drainage company rather than the utility company.
