Meter appears to be displaying figures now, so not sure what I was doing wrong there.
Did manage to get through to Ovo but took me a whole week of attempted calls and getting put on hold.
I'll probably try switching suppliers again soon as this company are giving further increases too.
Probably the same all over with others though.
Never used to switch suppliers until last summer.
Found the whole experience a bit of a minefield though.
