Hi
Friends had cause to get a C/H service man in to get our wall mounted combi boiler going whilst we were away and he removed the boxing in that had been placed around the flu( pipe internally).
He has not refixed it and we wondered if this was for a safety or operational reason?
We had previously had safety checks carried out and this was not raised as an issue?
Welcome any suggestons. The pipe is white enamelled so thinking we will just clean p the wall and ceiling and paint them and not bother about the boxing in. If we do this what is best way to fill the gap between wall opening and the pipe?
