Bosch 30 cdi or Vaillant 837 ??

having a complete new system installed

different plumbers have recommended these 2 .......any suggestions ??

Much more important than which of the 2 boilers is better, is the question: which installer is better.
There are thousands of posts on this question; it's been done to death and then some.

As Ben has said more important is the quality of the insatll and installer.

Out of those two I would go for the Vaillant, but as the 30cdi has been recommended, then the 831 ecotec is closer to the output of the cdi.

Another major factor is , has either of the plumbers checked your incoming water pressure and flow. Tis is critical to ensure that whatever boiler you choose, works to its designed specification.

You say it is a new system, what have you got at the moment?

at the moment we have an old back boiler open vented system, od rads etc etc

so looking to update that

Its a 3 bed semi 1 bath, en-suite and guest toilet (bought it just over a month ago)

Havent tested the water pressure as yet

Think we are going to go with the Bosch 30cdi

i would agree with the Vailant 831. the 837 quotes a higher hot water flow but you need to put in what you want out!

i prefere vaillant to worcester but i suppose you could argue about this all day.
Vaillant- stainless steel heat exchanger, so can be used with a water softener. Worcester alluminium! you decide?

worcester all day long, but its all about personal preferences.

Agree completely with above posters, the right installer is the key!
