Can anyone advise if my problem is the inlet valve/solenoid or master board? Machine wont fill on wash cycle - water runs in for about 4 seconds then stops. Works OK on prewash and rinse - which uses the upper of the dual valves, main wash works off the lower valve. My confusion is the initial 4 second burst on main wash - then nothing. Could this be a main board issue?

If you have a multimeter you can do a resistance check on the water solenoid valve terminals. On a medium or high resistance range with the wires disconnected from the water valve you should get about 3000 ohms. If one of them shows infinity ohms you know the solenoid coil has failed.

Both appear to read around 4000 ohms???

They are OK then so it could well be a circuit board problem and Bosch boards are expensive. :(
