Hi all,

Just get someone to double check my research into the wiring as planning to move to Hive (single channel).

I have a Worcester 28i junior boiler with
BR1) receiver (wall mounted - picture 1&2) & remote thermostat (BPS242RF) which is not working hence the heating system but still have hot water in taps

I just wanted to check my working:

Siemens N (blue wire) = Hive N Terminal
Siemens L (brown wire) = Hive L Terminal

Siemens LX (brown wire) = Hive Common Terminal (1)
Siemens L1 (yellow & green) = Hive Heating ON Terminal (3)

you need to make a link between L & 1 on the hive single channel

Yes as you have shown, however since the green/yellow has been over sleeved and used as line, it means an earth has not been taken to the thermostat.

Although Hive may be class II and does not need an earth, the regulations say an earth wire should be run to it even if not used.

Yes, like you have shown. It’s just not to current regulations regarding the Earth wire.
