Brexit - a reality check!

Getting that stuff
Good point,
People are people, they want the best in life they can get, all along the way you have the politicians who act as middlemen.
These middlemen have their own vested interests because they are paid by the state, which has to balance its own geopolitical interests against the they ordinary dude who just wants the best deal.

They get paid chicken feed by the state.

the big bucks come from lobbying interests.
There was a time when MPs were privately funded, that led to wide spread corruption, people with money bankrolled their prefered candidates.
The result of all that inappropriate behavior by the vested interests led to state funded MPs.
However, privately funded political parties are still allowed.
Maybe it is time that all political parties should be funded by the state in order to create a fair and equitable playing field.

Obviously, nothing to do with Brexit.

Correct. If you read the articles you will see that the article reported that; "She admitted it’s “impossible for anyone to quantify” how much airport delays are due to Brexit, compared to post-Covid staff shortages".

Also, she only saw Gove in a queue at the airport. He wasn’t on her flight so he wasn’t involved in a 30 hour delay. Still, why let the facts spoil a good story, eh? ;)

Impossible for anyone to quantify, doesn't mean it's not brexi t related

it just means it's a factor, part of the problem !

Our Tesco has loads of bare shelves. Missus wanted a few things and said fruit and veg didn’t exist. Loads of ham and other processed stuff missing. Looked like a war zone.
