Brexit Is a Complete failure

Gant please can you provide an example of any privatisation that was for Ed (FORCED) by EU competition laws (you won’t, they were all domestic political decisions)

Of course he can't. His post was nonsense.

They've sold off everything that wasn't nailed down including water and energy which eu competition law had a proviso in it to remain publically owned so we're down to the bare bones now.
Royal Mail being an example when it was privatized in 2011 the government held a 30 % share. That's been sold off now and a czech mogul now owns and the service has become a shadow of it's former self.
All due to decades of neo liberal free market ideology by Conservatives.

gosh it turns out we weren’t run by “unelected bureaucrats in Brussels” EU membership allowed us the full freedom to wreck our country all by ourselves.

Of course once Conservatives managed to totally wreck the country, they looked for somebody to blame…..and the EU was a perfect scapegoat. People like Gant were easily conned

That's one way of spinning it.
It’s called fact.

of course you could always provide examples of any Conservative privatisation that was imposed by EU

or any other domestic Policy imposed by EU that was detrimental to domestic economy.

No reference to Blair then, just them loathsome Tories.
The whole lot whatever political stripe they are want doing away with.
Come the election though there will be a few on here voting labour as though that's the answer.
If you think the EU's the answer this neo liberalism you talk of runs rings round them as well
Welcome to globalisation.

You know full well Tony Blair was Thatcher's b'stard child.
His 'New Labour' was just a Tory in a tutu.

I know that you know that, just he seems to have been conveniently forgotten about by notch but then notch is a past master at glossing over things he's uncomfortable with.

Gant stop wriggling, grow a backbone and admit EU membership was not the cause of privatisation.

Tories have been in power for most of the last 50 years, so that’s why I referred only to them.

Blair did indeed engage in some privatisation but as contracts not as whole sectors. He brought in private contracts in health and education.

Nobody is suggesting Labour is the answer, but the next government in power needs to get rid of right wing populism that is destroying this country, parliament and democracy.

The period under Blair, despite many failings was demonstrably better than the period since. Blair period had decent growth, wages in line with inflation, big reduction in child and pensioner poverty, properly funded public services.

My neighbour had a heart attack a few months ago….the ambulance waiting time would’ve been 2 hours, so they had to take him themselves. We didn’t see that under Blair, in fact waiting times were th3 lowest in NHS history.

but we know you don’t like facts.

Thank mass immigration and jabbers for that.
