Hi

Any bricklayers or labourers who work, or have worked as part of a footings gang. Can you tell me how many courses of bricks and blocks are used for the inner skin and outter skin up to the block and beam flooring.

I have been offered a job via an agency to work as labourer for a footings gang, and I would like to have a rough idea on the brickwork involved before I start. I have laboured for brickies before on new builds, but the plots are always concreted, and the brickwork up to dpc and ready to go.

I have never given it much thought about the work that goes in to getting the plots to this stage.

Hopefully someone will be able to answer my questions.

Thank you

Dave

Err, it depends on how deep the footings are!

Why should it make a difference though? If you are working as a hod carrier, or brickies labourer nowadays, then its all the same.
