British Steel - £1.5Bn - Good value?

According to the Govt.

The public interest test required for the government to take full ownership of British Steel will consider factors such as national security, maintaining critical national infrastructure and supporting the economy.

And once the taxpayer has footed the bill to get it up and running again, the next RW government will look to flog it off to foreign companies / their mates.

Not sure why the Tories are against nationalisation on this one, for me it's not about protecting jobs but more about national security. The world isn't as friendly as it once was and in a hostile environment, we need to be able to produce our own steel.

The troll never sleeps...
Neither does the anti-establishment whinger by all accounts. You must scour the threads on this forum looking to get petty digs in about just about everything. Here’s an idea, why don’t you start a thread about something you actually enjoy. Try it, you might like it.

Like what you had for breakfast, or lunch, or dinner. I don't hoink supper has been covered yet.

Or there's what you bought today, yesterday, the day before. There;'s still tomorrow to start.

Or what are you watching on TV?

etc. ;)

You've blown any credibility in whinging about "government waste", with that post.
Maybe you’d be right if EVERY post I made was a negative one. Have a look at Woolfies posts. Show me one of his posts that’s about anything happy, interesting, funny or helpful, and not just moan, moan, moan, pick, pick, pick or criticising someone or some thing. You’ll have a job on your hands.

Lunch and dinner are other peoples threads - mirroring my popular breakfast thread I imagine. All top long-running threads that many partake in so some on here find them interesting or entertaining. What would you like me to start a thread on? Oh yeah, anything you can argue about. Get a life.
