Hi all,

not sure if im posting this into the right section, but here it goes.

im planning a new bathroom, and just wondered if anyone had any experience with in wall bath / shower shelves like in the picture below

Bathroom built in caddy.jpg

im planning on having an area like this to be used when in the bath.

what would the best way to go about making this?

would i make the shelf in the external wall as it is?

or would i need to build the wall out a little bit?

excuse my ignorance and inexperience

any thoughts welcome.

Thanks
Martyn

I have those at my place, but they were only possible because the wall was the old external cavity wall which became an internal wall after an extension was built.

You won't be able to do it in an external wall unless you build the internal face out.

Yeah it's just the extrenal brick wall .
I though that might be the case
Thanks
