Hello everyone!

It’s me again… after sorting out the connection problem, I’m now trying to understand what’s wrong with the bulb holder which doesn’t light up.

There was a short-circuit when I first fitted the chandelier and the one bulb I had on it has blown up. Now, with all the connections right this bulb holder is the only from the 6 that doesn’t work… is there a chance the wiring for that arm got damaged with the short-circuit? I had a look at the bulb holder and all the connectors seem to be ok and I couldn’t find any loose wires.

What should I do next? Thanks a lot for your help in advance!

Take it down, put it on the bench and check the continuity from the lamp holders back to the termination point.
You may find the wiring has become damaged, it depends on the type of luminaire as to the best way to fix it. I have rewired fittings before using either silicon or fibreglass sheathed wires.
Could just be a dodgy connection on a lamp holder, a loose wire at the termination point etc. Impossible to tell till you get it where you can work on it.

Just checked the connections and the bulbholder... all seems normal. Took it out and put it in again just in case. Will try tomorrow with day light and see what happens...
