Can I install a LED flush mount LED in loft hatch?

I'm looking to consider asking my electrician to fit one extra LED flush-fit spot in loft hatch so it matches the rows in the ceiling to a total of 9 (3 rows of 3). He's concerned that it won't be safe and I totally get this, but is there a way to install this with some form of strong, flexible 3-core cabling or technique? Just so when we use the hatch, its not going to cause issues?

dont see a problem as long as the cable to it is fixed such that it doesnt cause a trip hazard or get trapped by the hinges or other parts of the ladder mechanism

Personally I'd use normal mains appliance flex, if that would meet regs. A generous allowance of slack in the flex would enable it to have a large bend radius to minimise stress.

I wouldn’t have thought there would be an issue? So long as the cable was securely fixed at each end with a decent loop?

OTT but I have used a whole lighting truss on motorised chain hoists and the cables were protected by a flexible track - a drag chain. These go up and down almost daily for years

FYI, someone (on another forum) has had an EICR "fail" because a downlight was fitted in a loft hatch. Maybe it was badly installed.....
