Can the consumer unit be mounted on the same board that the service head and the meter are on? There's no regulation stopping you from doing that is there?
I understand the DNO "Electricity Board as was" consider the Meter Board to be their property, and only allow their equipment on it. They can take it away and fit a new one if they feel like it, and will not be responsible for anything extra that you've fixed. They can insist that you remove anything you've fixed to it.
They don't mind Henley Blocks or an MET being fitted, though.
A mate of mine had the REC insist snottily that he removed CU from their meter board.
When He told them that they had put their meter and cutout on HIS board and therefore insisted that they removed their equipment from his board they changed their attitude Ha ha Ha
Are the rules for 3-phase different then? I have seen a 3-phase head and meter mounted to a massive sheet of plywood, with 2 TP+N DB's mounted to it as well. Would love to see them move the 2 DB's!
