Can you beat the system on health care

Back on site today.
Seen some of the inmates being strapped up with huge belts and hoisted out of their chairs on the end of a jib using what looked like an engine hoist.

Guess manual lifting is a thing of the past now.

They are not inmates, they are residents.
As for the lifting, the nurses aren't allowed to do manual lifting.
That's one of the reasons a lot of the residents are in places like that, they are no longer able to care for themselves.

It may not look pleasant, but with the help of these hoists the disabled person can be helped to sit on a toilet or into a wheelchair or armchair and back into bed later. My old mother had a stroke and has been able to stay in her own home, being hoisted into an electric wheelchair so she can drive around the house and garden, or into her own armchair.

The alternative is even more horrible.
