There’s a world of difference between an off-duty soldier being targeted and slaughtered in the street during peace time to avenge Muslims over past events and one killed during an ongoing conflict. Nosey thinks there’s no difference where, when, how and why someone is killed if they are a soldier and mentioned the IRA. Perhaps you should be asking him why he thinks one is no less heinous than the other unless you feel the same way.

Perhaps you should produce the evidence, an intelligent and reasoned analysis of which justifies the claim that noseall is an IRA apologist.

From the two scenarios in this post, if he thinks one is no less heinous than the other, he thinks they are just as heinous as each other, i.e what the IRA did was just as bad as what the killers of Lee Rigby did or what the killers did was no worse than what the IRA did.

Either way of expressing it is hardly an apologist post for the IRA.

I think you've got that the wrong way round. HWM was explicitly talking about offences which involve violence, so he gave the examples of 'aggravated burglary and car theft'. That makes it clear to me that he meant 'aggravated car theft'

If he had meant what you say, he would have written 'car theft and aggravated burglary'

and you would be right, this. is exactly how it was written so I didn't have to keep writing aggravated after each offence so I put it at the beginning.

That's a bit like the Scottish verdict of 'Not Proven' rather than not Guilty or Guilty.

After which the accused is not sentenced to life imprisonment.
