Talking if Insurance as the title of this thread, let us talk about Pet insurance
for a change,

I have 11 cats and none are insured, this is my policy and it makes perfect sense not to insure 11 cats but if you have 1 cat then you should.

Mine came down by about £100 this year and I didn't even have to change company.

oh Yes! oh yes! (nodding dog)

Mine also reduced by about forty quid this year. Direct line - £231 fully everything.

Quoted £220 to renew, changed to saga £163,fully comp 1.9 diesel cdti.

My insurance quote actually went up by £170 this year. Shopped around and got it £50 cheaper than last year. Personally, I think insurance companies jist charge what they think they can get away with.
Remember,, ye'll never know how good your insurance (company) is,,, until you try and make a claim.

my insurance went down.....but then I did swap from a group 14 car to a group 2 car

saving a fortune on petrol though.. :D

im with M+S insurance

The company you are with will send you out a renewal notice with the new price which is never cheaper and then say you don't have to do nothing as we will deduct the amount from the bank account you used last year and a lot of folk just let it ride ...but a percentage like us guys will shop around as loyalty counts for nothing...myself I always use the comparison sites and find what some companys charge as obscene and wonder how they stay in business ..myself £240 last year and it did drop

One thing I've never understood is that, if you have NCD protection and then have an accident, although you keep your NCD your premiums go up anyway.

So, for all practical purposes, what's the point of NCD protection?

I've never protected my NCD. No accidents in twenty years of driving...then my g/f goes and drives into the back of someone...oh dear!

The result? I lost two years of my NCD and my premium has barely changed.

So what is the point of protecting your NCD?
