did you hear about the bloke who's car was wheel clamped, he cut it in half with an angle grinder.

It would seem his car was declared off the road, but the ncp who were working for the dvla noticed one wheel was just on the pavement, so they clamped it. £200+ to get it released.

so he cut it in half and said take that half then.

what most places didnt say when it was first mentioned was that the car only cost him £50, and now its worth £70 as scrap.

They decided to remove the clamp

Cut the clamp off, send the local pound a letter saying that the clamp has been found lying on the path outside your house and you will look after it for them for 28 days, during which time they are welcome to collect it by appointment. After 28 days you can dispose of it.

It helps if no one witnesses who actually does the cutting - perhaps just 'someone' in blue jeans and black top and a baseball cap
