ceiling rose

just moved in all lights ok except one in parlour its got 2 black wires and one grey,2 black wires are going to the neutral and grey to the live ,in the middle of the rose it says loop but no wires go to them same as upstairs but that works fine any ideas

have you changed the lamp? checked switch , got a meter?

breezer got no tester any help appreciated as ive said all other lights work fine

Do you have a digital camera? Can you post us some pictures of the wiring / connections in question. This will help us immensly.

the rose has 3 earth wires to it and theyre green .1 grey wire goes to the live with brown wire and the 2 black goes to the earth with the blue wire

Buy a multimeter in the morning for £9.99 it will probably help puzzle out what's going on.

Did the previous occupiers remove a light fitting when they moved out?
