Central heating issue

Merry Christmas

I'd appreciate some help with the following please.

Myson Apollo boiler 20 plus years old.
Ignition on boiler clicking away, flame on but radiators not getting hot.
After twenty minutes, ignition stopped clicking and radiators now getting hot.
Turned thermostat of and back on and all okay.

Any ideas please add I don't want this occuring when it's very cold.

Can you post a video of it? Sticking gas valve possibly

Get it serviced. Its probably a minor fault that will be cured by a service. As it eventually comes on there's probably little else wrong.

It seems not to be detecting the flame properly.

As stated likely to be a minor fault.

But does need a qualified gas engineer to attend to fix.
