4 quid over 4 years is not too bad i dont think.

nothing we buy is at cost.

At my work were making a cosmetic product which costs 88p per 250ml bottle, and its selling like gold for £90 per bottle.

iPhone 4S costs around £100 to manufacture including parts, and its selling for up to £700

I dont see why lamps are any different! it would be nice to buy everything at cost, but such is life.

That's fair enough if you there are people who really desire these products or are 'foolish' enough to pay the price.

(Returning to lamps) However, it is not so fair if you have made illegal equally good products that were obtainable for 10p.

Please do not retort that it is better for the planet until aircraft fuel is taxed at the same rate as road and the Singapore F1 Grand Prix is held during the day.

totally agree, apart from aviation fuel tax, as a private pilot i have found the rising avgas prices to be crippling!!

i never lecture about the environment,i just like cfl's cos they save me cash!!
