Hi I have a BAXI Eco 80 combi boiler and every 3-4 weeks it trips out and has to be reset. Can see no loss of pressure or any leaks on radiators. Any ideas anybody to what is causing the problem

when you say it is locking out do you mean you have to reset it on front panel or by reseting o/heat stat on flow pipe ??

if its that you have to re-set it on front panel its more than likely ignition fault probably low gas needs adjusting on gas valve ?? dont try this yourself as you need specialist tools

I have to take front cover off and there is a small red button on the left hand side at the back which has to be pressed to allow the boiler to fire up

The boiler is less than 2 years old and has been doing this since the begininng of the year. What could be causing it to overheat?

It would normally be caused by either a boiler temperature control fault or possibly due to a reduced flow.

I hope you dont have thermostatic rad valves on EVERY rad !

Why dont you call the CORGI registered installer back to check it?

the 80eco has no pump over run to disipate the heat once the burner has stopped. somtimes when a large amount of hot water has been drawen off the boiler can overheat when the flow stops.

it can be caused by debris in the plate heat ex, faulty stat etc.

if youre realy struggling, you could always give baxi a ring, but they will charge you about 175 quid.
