No it doesn't. We're designing and installing water carrying systems. We need to be calculating using the bore of the pipe, so 1/2" 12.7mm 1" 25.4mm whatever! Whoever thought in the 60's it was a good idea to start referring to everything by outside diameter? What good's that to an engineer?Ok, That makes sense.
