hi,
i have a black and decker cordless chainsaw, the long pole type pruner and the battery performance is now useless, lasts for about 2 cuts and then it more or less is dead.
is there a way i could get this to work off of the mains and if there is how would i do it.

many thanks

chris......

Sorry Chris - not worth it.....you'd need a heavy duty transformer and rectifier to provide the required voltage and current that the pruner needs, plus a long length of cable and connections to the powered head.
John :)

I don't know the tool voltage but could you not use a car battery to power it? I've a friend who does just that with a cordless drill. Obvious to say the car battery sits on the ground and cables run from it to the tool.
