Dumb RWR.

Actually they hate the success that MI6 have had with recruiting Russian double agents.

Russian Officials are not behaving like an innocent party. They are mocking and giggling - pointing at us saying look at them, what can they do? We are Russia, we have Putin, he has Nukes, we are strong they are weak. If they were innocent they would be appealing to the international community expressing their outrage.

In fairness to Putin he's been politically baited now for the last 5 years, have we had one good Russian news story in the last 5 years? If so, where ?

Where is this mocking and giggling? .. I watch his public performances and he does make quips about the state of the West, but then again who doesn't? We have serious serious problems here our political class are failing to clean up, and I know you know that.

-------------------------------------------

Anyway, still no clear motive why Putin would choose to do this now when he's on the way to win another election. Still no hard proof.

Sorry but it doesn't add up.

You think it's gonna be a free and fair election? (y)

If you are correct and he can maniuplate the outcome of the election anyway it makes even less sense that he would do this, for what gain?

If you're playing a game of football and you're winning 5-0 with 5 minutes left to spare, would you punch the ref in the face ?

Depends what you consider a free and fair election of course. He's discredited most of his opponents, and only about 50% will bother to vote because they know they can't oust Putin, but it'll be a free and fair election by Russian standards.

At last?

The UK Government [according to Aunty BBC tonight]

The internationally accepted body who dictate about Chemical Weapons there use or not are to be given the [very, very] belated opportunity to inspect all the suspect sites associated with this attack.

IMO this intervention is several days late?

The UK Government have missed a potential upper hand in that they should have involved this body as soon as it became clear that there was a Chemical Weapon attack, once this was put in place the government should have clammed right up.

OK all the information being released to the public point singularly in one [Eastern] direction.

A smarter way to handle this situation would have been to send samples to all countries who have the ability to analyse the material and tender their results, the USSR should also be included in the above, once all the results are revealed, the USSR version being probably different from all the rest the Government could then get on the Soap box and reinforce the results.

I believe the UK has lost the lead, the material should have been tested BEFORE BoJo Et-All opened their prodigious mouths.

Using our countries legal conventions, beyond all reasonable doubt ???

BoJo on TV tonight made a statement that such information will be made available tomorrow?

BUT??? will it be independently verified at the same time??

Let me be clear as above all indications point to the East, but unless we as a Country can get authoritarian irrefutable proof then and only then will the rest of the free world believe us.

Then there may be some investigations [in extreme depth] as to the financing of London high end properties, and who knows even some of the financial backers of the Conservative party, all part of the fall out??

Crap

All that an independant team will be able to confirm is that the chemical tested is (or is not) identical to the Novichok agent.

Where it came from and who did it will be outside of their testing, and that will always be down to probability ..... exactly as it is now

I read that the Britains request for assistance under the Chemical Weapons Convention was done last week but the response has been slow because Russia is also a member of the OPCW. It seems to me the UK informed them promptly according to protocol.

While the UK have samples, and the OPCW inspectors want to do their investigation, but because the amounts are so tiny, its questionable whether any tests would be worthwhile.

As far as I can see, Novichok needs specialist facilities to produce and only Russia have such a place. The nerve agent has a clearly defined chemical structure and such chemicals have a signature that identify where it was manufactured.

I love how they don't even care about the cctv when stuffing extra ballots in.
