Could there be a vote of confidence on Wednesday ? 15% threshold reached now

For those (Boris and Nadine) who think this is a tidy win, think Trump... Had 40% of Republican senators voted to impeach him, he'd have been been convicted of crimes in a congressional court. Forty percent of Tory MPs have impeached their own PM.

That’s just because he has a much larger number of MP's voting. As a percentage, 50% of 2 is smaller in numbers that 2% of 100.
That’s simply untrue.

Thatcher had a larger majority than Booris

Remove the “payroll” vote - and look at the free vote from backbenchers. Almost 75% of all Tory MPs not dependent on his patronage voted against him.

This is the end for Boris Johnson. The only question is how long the agony is prolonged

You better make yourself comfortable then, it might take a while.
The longer it drags on, the more damage to Tory party.

Ive no argument with Boris batting for Labour.

bring on the by elections (y)

It's not just the MPs Notch. The days when the right wing press would rally around anything with a blue rosette are long gone. There's blood in the water...

indeed

Tory MPs are worried about getting re elected, they cant just ignore what their voters are telling them

I put one of Notch7 campaign(s) quotes into google this morning and wasn't surprised to find it can be attributed to the likes of Rory Stewart.

Interesting how you dont address the point made -perhaps you would like the same point made by Robert Peston

"If the outcome were worse for Johnson, say 40% were to oppose him, then 145 would have lost faith in him. And that would represent 75% of all Tory MPs not dependent on his patronage."

would you prefer one from Sir Roger Gale:

"I have read with great care the letter that the PM has sent to all colleagues pleading for support in the ballot box tonight. With sadness I hold the view that the PM is not the fit and proper person to remain, in the interest of our country, as Prime Minister of the UK"

I was making an observation and have little to no interest in your political campaigns.
