Is it worth mentioning that Spain had strict mask rules including outside which does not appear to have affected the 'second wave'?

unless they were, for example, old people in care homes.
So maybe we shouldn't have clapped the NHS then if it was their fault? Maybe they should have kept everybody in hospital for a couple of weeks to be sure, just turn away the new incoming patients that can't breathe if the hospitals are unable to cope with the numbers...

The outcome of today's contributions to this thread is therefore that comparisons between countries are useful for point - scoring, as they are intrinsically different in population, demography , geography, politics, culture, governance, data - gathering and reporting.......

Yes, its worth mentioning.

The WHO advice....
  • WHO officials do not recommend mask wearing for healthy members of the general population.
  • Masks should be worn by those with the disease or those in close contact with those infected.
Which was just before the scamdemic really got going.
Face masks increase your carbon dioxide intake and weakens your immune system.
The scamdemic rolls on.

I know our system was initially just that Covid19 had to be mentioned on the death certificate.
Actually, no, that's not what was happening to start with.

Initially you had to have a positive Covid-19 test and have died in a hospital to be counted in the initial stats. Which means that the deaths in the early stages were an under estimate.

Later the ONS statistics counted the number of deaths by death certificate, and they started to be included in the daily stats, but to start with certificates were not the main way to count deaths.

So, to start with we missed deaths because of our lack of testing. Later we probably over counted as some people died due to other causes, then we retroactively removed them again, now we might be under counting if anyone takes more than 32 days (or whatever the cut off is) to die of Covid-19. Which does happen in some cases.

Or in short, trust the ONS they're really good at this. Better than you or I.

Correct.
And carbon dioxide is trapped inside the face nappy.
Which you breathe in again.
Weakening your immune system.
That's not how your body works. In any way. Nor how gases work.

You've never worn a mask for a day in your life. And at the same time work in difficult situations.
How would you even know?
I get paid to wear masks.
I don't wear them because of government decrees.
