Today I went to a job where 2 out of 8 dimmable fittings failed.
The ballasts had two supply terminals unmarked and two Dali terminals marked D1 and D2 marked as Live and Neutral.
pressing the switch quickly turns them off and holding the switch down alternates between Dimming and brightening.
I fitted new ballasts, but the 2 new ones worked in reverse to the other 6 old ones, after powering them off at the mains about 6 times they finally run all in sync.
Any ideas what may have caused it.
could swopping Live and neutral on the supply terminals, have any effect on the dimming operation.
