Stupidly, we have managed to drain our oil tank. Having had it re-filled, I have bled the system of air and cleaned the pump filter. I get a healthy flow of oil from the pump (having disconnected the pipe that feeds into the nozzle) but cannot get the burner to operate. The system was working fine before we ran out. I have checked the clearances between the electrodes and the nozzle and both are fine. I there a non-painful/lethal way of checking whether I am actually getting a spark? I do have a Multi-meter but that is all.
Many thanks.
