Days Off

I do shift work 4 on 4 off alternate days and nights i am on my days off at the moment its raining so i can`t do much outside so the question is what are the rest of you doing who`s making money for the tax man.

What shall we call the 8th day? Come on, more and more people are working 4/4 shifts, it makes sense to have an 8 day week. Any ideas?

I've done 12hrs shiftwork for 24yrs called 5 shift system, it's a good one, plenty time off, eg Dayshift start on a Monday 6am - 6pm

On average it's 32 hrs week and on every 8 wks we get 14 days & 19 days break on every other one. 12 weeks holiday and the time off in between shifts

In the early years Ford plants has turned this shift pattern down, it's madness!

I'm very lucky to taken early retirement last month

I'd say it was better to take a day off - otherwise in the evening you;re so tired.
