Despite what some are saying, it’s not all growth and prosperity in the EU.

So if you sell light fittings, does that mean you'll have to comply with the legislation to trade in the eu? Or you can just sell what you like?

If you want t sell anything into the EU you have to meet their standards, and be able to prove it.

It is us that might drop our standards, do you think that is a good thing?

No point in aelling anything that isn't used in a particular country. Bulb fittings have changes a number of times - why to give more variability in the style of lights. B15 does not suite all neither does strandard Edison screw.

EU you have to meet their standards
Electrical standards very between countries. Some can not be used in the UK but are ok elsewhere..

When it comes down to parts actually used and have to be used that varies as well but any standard applied to them is country specific such as a UK plug or more usually world wide in other areas,

LOL We are not very good at ensuring our plugs actually meet UK standards. Many don't.

you appear to not have the slightest clue and then move on to Ukraine - what has that got to do with it?

And with more legislation over time, a uniformity across the board will be ascertained.

How about telling us some of these dictats that we had no say in?

We don't have any say now, that we want to export there, but that's the benefit of brexit

Although sadly, by resigning, UK has given up its influential voice on the Recommendations committees for standards, and its votes in the legislature

And the eu are trying to do away with the veto and move to majority voting JD, what you think of that.

In some areas such as mains voltage it will take donkey;s years to avoid throwing expensive kit away. Probably never really happen actually.

what you think of that.

I think you're quite obviously trying to change the subject because you are unable to describe a problem that has been cured by resigning from the EU
