poor gas112 doesn’t seem to realise in UK we have M25 under protest, impending nurses strikes, Royal Mail strikes, teachers balloting for strikes, no govt in NI.UK Foreign Office issues ‘unrest or violence’ warning for visitors to Spain - Falstaff
British holidaymakers are being warned about the potential for violent unrest in Spain as the country comes to terms with its own cost of living crisis.www.falstaff.com
A very persuasive argument assessing the damage to the nation caused by Brexit…says Notch as his hand slides down his trousers…….
Just perverted ramblings.
Grow up. 2 extractsThat should be the working title of de Piffle's autobiography.
It's not. Poorly explained. Brexit has caused a drop in GDP and exports. The reduction in workforce doesn't really relate. What has happened there is that while low unemployment levels nave been quoted the number of economically inactive people has increased significantly.A stopped clock and all that....Click me.
There are also plenty of people that are out of work - so they show up on figures and claim benefits, but they are also in work. Tradesmen, car washers, window cleaners, cab drivers, nail technicians, mobile hairdressers……..Unemployment numbers are not the numbers of people who are out if work.
For example, the number of people receiving unemployment benefits is currently over 1.5 million.
There are also people unemployed but not receiving benefits, for example if they have adequate savings.
There are some older people who have lost their job or been made redundant and were able to start taking their pensions early
There are people who have searched for work, failed to find it, become discouraged and given up.
There are people who have become dependent on a partner.
Some of these show up as "economically inactive"
They have to work a certain number of hours to get the benefits. Talk of increasing these hours. True if an unemployed person can get cash in hand jobs they may do that. You think there are loads?? Some trades people who earn plenty will also do cash in hand jobs. Those are wonderful people of course. So true, there's a reason a lot work part time so as not interfere with their benefit claims along with not declaring a partner living with them.
