That a green turtle can stay submerged for 5 hours on one breath ??

and that it can slow its heart beat down to 1 beat every 5 minutes ?

I never knew that , saw it on telley last night , they had a camera attached to a green turtle

Only one? Is it a proper fish?

yes lives on the galapios coast . lives on the rocks & breaths via the waves washing up on the rocks , but it has to be careful it does not get swept out to sea due to its inability to swim :) was on the telley as well

Also A Blue Whale all 200 tons of it . Its heart is as big as a small car (mini) technically u could actually swim through some of its blood vessels

And they put a camera on a fish eagle . The Uk.s largest wild bird (I think) has a wing span of 8 feet.

they were hunted to extinction in the UK . Last one was shot in 1918 . They were reintroduced into the UK via the fish eagles that are native to Norway .

they have been recorded flying at a height of 10,000 feet & can spot there prey from 2 miles away

The wonders of the natural world . Thank's to who ever dreamt up Television :)

Theres a caterpillar that lives in the artic , during the winter it gos under a rock & freezes . literally , its breathing stops , heart , circulation

it then thaws out every year comes back to life & carries on maturing this happens for 14 years

then it changes into a moth , breeds with in weeks & then snuffs it

What about the toughest animal on Earth:

Been around 500m years

Can survive vacuum of space for 10 days

Temp range almost down to absolute zero and up to 80 deg C

Can survive high levels of radiation
