Din-Rail type consumer units.

Out of curiosity, did MK invent the modern type of sentry consumer unit, in which the devices are all modular, and are clipped onto a standardised din-rail?
 
I think the clue is the name name "DIN-rail"

DIN (Deutsches Institut für Normung) is German equivalent to BSI (British Standards Institute) so I would presume it was a German introduction.

In the same way that we can assume BTU or BSP were British introductions.

According to Hager, yes. But on the continent, not here. As to who was the first here, I know not...
