Does anyone know how to dismantle the combined shower light/vent fitting shown below in order to access the transformer (for the light) which needs replacing?
Yes the TX will be seperate as it has two outputs.
One for the fan and one for the light.
Have you installed a correctly rated lamp? IIRC you can only use a 20W lamp in these fittings. If you have installed a 50W lamp then fitting a 20W lamp may enable the fitting to work again.
Thanks all for the advise. The reason why this can't be accessed from above is because the transformer is located inside a suspended ceiling.
Happy new year!
Not sure about that. there will be one transformer for the light, probably located near the light itself.
The fan will be somewhere slse and have its own power feed. Incidentally, are you able to access the fan unit in your suspended ceiling? You'll need to get to it if it needs replacing....
I have only used vent-axia lumin-air (see their clever little pun?), and the fan part is attatched to the assembly mounted in the ceiling with the lamp in it.
