I used to keep racing snails, someone said take the shell off and they will go faster, I did and now they are more sluggish

@securespark That slug must have liked you. We never seem to see them in the house any more - they must be too busy out in the garden feasting in my spuds, or getting blind drunk in the beer traps

I've never been stung by either wasp or bee, but bees don't bother me over much, but I'm much more wary of wasps. I read that wasps can sting and survive, whereas bees immediately die, and so less likely to sting. I was once bitten by a spider, such that my lower arm, looked like Popeye's arm, ended up in A&E as a result.

I now have a massive one in my workshop - I hear him rustling, when I go in and turn the lights on. Several times I've been working too close to him, and he has reared up in a very threatening manner.

My mrs woke up screaming last night as a large spider was crawling on her pillow. I battered the horrible hairy thing with my slipper and then gently put the spider out of the window.
