sell the door

I am being serious, its of no use to you, because if you had carpentry skills to extend it properly, you wouldn't be asking here what to do with it. It is going to cause you a lot of grief either way, be it you (or some one you employ) extend the door, or make door frame smaller, it will cost more than a new door the correct size would be

Can you not put another door frame inside it ? bearing in mind the ideal door height should be 6' 6"

it can de done

padding out the frame or door

but if you do it wrong not only does it look complete poo

you can seriously affect the security of your propperty

hello mr insurance man what do you mean im not insured

if you pad out the frame because its a all in one frame

[for security] you will have to router a piece of wood to

fit in the rebate with an equivilent rebate on the new edge

sounding a bit complicated

no its quite easy if you know how and with the right tools

good luck
:D :D :D
