I am fitting a double insulated light into a ceiling rose that has an earth wire in it. The earth wire comes out of the ceiling and into what looks like a metal chock block. From what I am reading, it states that a double insulated light should not be earthed.
Is it safe to wire this light into a ceiling rose that has an earth circuit built in or do I need to replace the ceiling rose as well.?
I've read posts where people have suggested taping up the unused earth wire and putting it into a chock block, but this earth wire is in a metal chock block already.
Thanks in advance,
Emma
