Hi, I wave a cold roof design, 170mm joists + 100mm down to 5mm furrings. I going to use 100mm PIR insulation, flush with the ceiling, leaving a ventilation gap above ranging from about 60mm to 160mm.
I would like to have recessed LED downlights, but I get different opinions depending on who I talk to. I don't want to add a false ceiling as this brings down the ceiling height, which leaves cutting a hole into the PIR, which I don't mind, BUT... I need it to be safe and not accumulate moisture / rot, etc.
These look interesting and could be one option (https://www.lbsbmonline.co.uk/loft-...yCIxSi6ZzguhirKPIwfbkCC1Jx2Lak2YaAq9PEALw_wcB) ?
What are the other safe options?
