Sorry, I’ve just re-read through and you have a combi perhaps? You’ve connected to the hot water side, but said you didn’t need that, so can’t understand why you did that. Maybe move the wire over as I mentioned in post #4 providing it’s mains switching. As for what’s on the wall, it’s wireless and will no longer communicate with the receiver.
So put it in number 4 in the wiser?
Yep (providing it’s mains at the other end) otherwise you’ll be bringing the heating on using the hot water side of it.
I'm away for work atm, I have disconnected everything and put the old 1 back in.
