Ban the bloody do-gooders, that's what we should do.
I agree the govt could cut the ground from under the feet of illegal traders. The government could actually stop the illegal trade in drugs if they wanted to, but there's no political will. Governments are usually the problem, not the solution.
I worked for a member of the government a couple of years ago and we got around to talking about smoking. He told me that if the government wanted everyone to stop smoking then they could do it straight away by having a £25 tax on per packet. This would stop 99% of smokers, but he told me that no government would do that due to the fact they want the tax money they get from them. He also said that most harden smokers don't live long enough to collect their pension.

It's a waste of breath talking about banning tobacco and alcohol. Salt is bad for us but it's impossible to ban it. Sugar is bad for us - arguably worse than tobacco and alcohol combined - but it's impossible to ban it. These things are too readily available and all the bans in the world won't stop people getting hold of it.

Oh, right, thanks for that. I'll start putting it in my tea from now on.As to "to much" salt, recent studies show it could lower the risk of heart failure, or increase it, no one is sure now.
Errrrr, yes. Just a big fat yes.Errr, no, just no.
